 Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it. i am going to make to the sixth graders and i am making it to them so i can teach them the design cycle steps
11. What are the requirements for this assignment? the requirements for this is the comic strips and the flip book showing the steps of the design cycle.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment? the limitations for me is the knowledge i have for the subject.
13. How will you "test" your project?
STUDENT SAMPLE!! DO NOT COPY THIS IS AN EXAMPLE!! (Design Brief) i am going to text the kids by giving them like a test about it and the questions related to it and how they can make connections.
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.  For my project I am going to create a Storybook/ Comic Strip that describes the Design Cycle in a very simple way.  I am going to make it so that a 6th grader can comprehend the Design Cycle without getting confused.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?  My assignment must be clear and simple to understand and under 2 minutes.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?  The limitations of this project is the time because 2 minutes is not long enough to be able to thoroughly explain the design cycle.
13. How will you "test" your project?  I will test my project by giving out surveys/ tests to the 6th graders and review how well their answer and responses are. I will give them the comic strip and they will find the step and give the picture that shows it.

reflection week 6

my reflection is a good thought about the rubric. i think i will get a 3-4 because i always get ok numbers in the rubrics i get. i can explain the problem once i find it out, and analyze. then again i cant say i am goof at discussing the relevance of the project from therubric comparing these things. i can also connect t other sources in the project from the source i am looking at.

On my simplictiy i didn't get to get a big grade cause it i really don't know much about the subject in that way with the simplicity. simplcity is a weird confusing word and subject to be graded on so i dont think im going to do all that good. but yet i think i'm going to do ok in the whole thing here. yet there is always something that messes me up so i'm sure its going to be a bit of a challenge in this simplicity  part.
I gave myself a 12 in total through out the whole project thing. then there is the background will be pretty easy for  me to do cause of what i said already the drawings and being creative and everything. then i gave myself a good grade on the characters cause i can do do the things pretty quick and easy. i gave myself a ok grade but not all so good either still cause its ok. and then i didn't give myself a good grade on the simplicity cause of the things i have to do. so this is my total that i have on my rubric on the thing i need.

THE FLIPBOOK

On my flip book rubric i put not all great but ok numbers cause thats how i feel im doing in this class right now im not all A student but i dont have an F either so i think this is describing me too. the comic strip is kind of difficult  for me to put together but i really like to make things challenging, at times.i also know how to get creative in drawings that i make i sometimes make drawings with color or like  a good defined picture that stands out. cause i stand out so thats why i say that what  i make defines me and how i am so thats one reason i put a four on my back grounds. the back ground can be simple one color or two, but it can also be like a lot of stuff going on in the back. i can put something that doesn't have anything to do with the scene but keep adding more in the back that does make it make sense. i gave myself a four on the background cause i am pretty sure i can make the background of a design cycle step real easy.
I don't think I can do so good on the next one I really have a problem on making up my own little characters in the drawing cause i'm not sure it will make it look good or just ruin it i also am very picky on the main thing of a picture. I gave myself a 2 on the characters cause of my picky-ness on the main point of the drawing or picture. the characters need to be really the main point of the picture or comic strip that i am making.
the next  measurement for the comic strip is my text i chose a 3 for it cause i'm pretty good at extending the writing especially when i get a clue of the subject that i'm working on i can make it be longer and better than it really has to be text is an easy thing its just writing it down about the stuff you know already. text is not my strongest thing i have but it is one of the things i can do in this project. this project was a bit hard to understand at first especially cause i'm very bad at understanding the computers or how to fix something that i already posted or to move things over to the right spot. so text is pretty easy for me especially cause i just need to press buttons with letters on them so i know what to say and i just write it down now.

score on my flipbook

my flip book is not so difficult i thinks its pretty easy so that is why i chose my comic strip i really like some challenges, but if i don't understand at all then i don't do it but i have clues of this project then i might be able to succeed. i gave my self a four on back ground cause i'm so sure i can do this real easy and quick this is what i can do on the back ground i can really do all the stuff that goes on the back.the back ground is easy to make for something i want to do its just color in the back. i gave myself a two on the characters cause i'm not so good at drawing little people but still i can make it good to draw my own little people or drawings the little main thing.i gave myself a 3 on text cause  cause im not going to be able to describe the picture so much maybe at least like only a couple sentences on that one little topic.i gave myself a 3 on simplicity cause again i dont know how to write or what to write but i can find out how to put this kind of writing why i owuld need to write this down too.

rubrics

i chose this number for my characters like a two cause i am not really good at all the character choosing for a drawing. i am not sure how to make the book all that good either so i do not know if i can really make the comic strips of the project.and i gave myself a 3 on the text cause i dont really know how to write alot about something i doont know much about. and the 3 is ok but i can also do so reviewing on the subject i need the help on in cause i really need it.i gave myself a 3 again on the simplicity on cause right now i dont know what simplicity really is right now so i cant say ima do so perfect but then again i might know just not what its called but know how to do it.

Monday, September 19, 2011

i gave myself a four on my back ground cause i can get creative with the back of a picture.also cause the background is bigg so i have more to draw or put pics in side it or just the back.

the difference between a comic strip and a flip book

Today i searched in comic master to look at the comic strips. i found out how to make a comic strip and whats the difference between a comic strip or a flip book the flip book was interesting book but i see the comic strip a bit more easier. i found out how to make a flip book by getting on benetton play. it was fun drawing but i didnt know what or how to make a little flip book there on the screen. right now i have chosen the comic strip to show to sixth graders.i will first make a table of contents showing the steps of the design cycle  step by step. then each chapter will show what that one step is about  and what it means.
there is like four characters in the comic strip and many background locations like a big building or a forest or something like that.     or the,
the flip book is like drawing step by step but then you put save and preview then when you do that you make another picture but you make more and more. after that you put preview and then it shows the pictures in order of what you were doing.
